Diani Canada Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates dianihockeytape.ca. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we protect it. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

  • Order details: name, email address, shipping address (for shipped orders), and the items you purchased.
  • Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see your full credit card number; we receive only a tokenized reference and the last four digits for our records.
  • Communications: emails you send us (e.g. support questions) and our replies.
  • Technical data: standard server access logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) generated when you visit the Site, retained briefly for security and abuse prevention.

2. How we use it

  • To fulfill your order: process payment, ship goods or arrange pickup, send confirmation and shipment emails.
  • To respond to your inquiries.
  • To meet our legal and tax recordkeeping obligations.
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the Site.

We do not use your information for marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing.

To operate this store we share necessary order data with:

  • Canada Post — shipping label generation, tracking. See Canada Post's privacy notice.
  • Resend Inc. (or equivalent email provider) — sending order confirmation and shipment notification emails.
  • Vercel Inc. — Site hosting.

These providers are bound by their own privacy commitments and may store data on servers outside Canada (typically the United States). By placing an order you consent to this cross-border processing for the purposes described.

4. Cookies

The Site uses essential cookies only — for the shopping cart and the admin login session. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.

5. Data retention

We retain order records for the period required by Canadian tax and corporate law (currently 6 years). After that, records are deleted or anonymized.

6. Your rights

You may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (subject to our legal recordkeeping obligations) by emailing ishtar@diani.ca. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We protect personal information with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted admin access, and password hashing. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize risk.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order.
